I am a pretty big fan of the social media platform Subjot, so I thought I would add a sharing button to my blog to help promote the service, and to promote my blog by allowing an easy way for Subjot users to comment about my articles. Originally, I was going to add the button to my WordPress theme, but decided to write a plugin so others can enjoy the button as well.
The button itself is the result of modifying Subjot’s bookmarklet combined with my Subjot button graphic. The rest of the plugin places the button on your blog without needing to edit any code. I got the idea for using the Subjot bookmarklet from @lambdabass, who may have been the first to add a subjot button to a blog.
